- Which type
cooler is best for me, Gas or Electric?
It depends on where you would use it most. The biggest factor is
that gas coolers are not good to run indoors. If you are planning
to use your cooler a lot indoors you will want an electric cooler.
- What is the
range of the coolers?
Range all depends on the drivers weight, the terrain (if it is flat
or up and down hills), the speed driven and also the model chosen.
All of these factors change the run time. The gas coolers will be
able to go about 20-30 miles before refilling, again depending on
the factors above and the electric from 30 minutes to 4 hours, again
depending on the driving parameters.
- How much are
they?
Go to the Sales Page.
- How about parts?
This is one of our biggest target areas for complete customer satisfaction
and the biggest complaint from people who buy any old scooter from
overseas. Our factories U.S. warehouse stock almost everything you
could ever need for your cooler, all the time. Occasionally they
may run out of something but they try their best to have everything
in stock all of the time.
- How about a
warranty issue?
Trykes and coolagons are warranteed for 6 months, ATC are warranteed
for 3 months. See Service.
- What about
registration?
It is critically important to register your cooler for your warranty,
for service information and for any safety issues that may develop!
There could be some new accessories or a critical safety change
that you need to be aware of.
- Can my kids
ride the coolers?
All of our coolers, and all documentation, specifically state that
all riders are to be either 16 or 18 years of age or older. What
you do with the cooler after you buy it, and how you use it, we
have no control of, and take no responsibility for.

- If I have trouble
starting the gas unit or 2-stroke engine, What do I do?
We keep a small can of starting ether handy to make cold starting
easier. All 2 cycle motors may take a few pulls to get going, but
with all of our test units we have always got our coolers started.
To start your cooler the factory recommends the following procedure:
| a.
Pump
the primer bulb under the carburetor. |
| b.
Move the choke lever up to choke the
carburetor. |
| c.
Turn the throttle all the way to maximum
and pull start cord. |
| d.
If it does not start after a few pulls
you can spray a little either close to the air cleaner. |
- The electric
unit does not go, what should I do?
There are two fuses in these units. One in the exterior charge plate
area (this may be changed to a circuit breaker) and one in the electronic
controller inside the cooler where all of the wires converge. Check
these first. If they are good check your battery connections. If
they are good you will need to get a voltmeter to check your power
at the motor and at the batteries. Ohm out the motor. If it is good
your problem lies in the throttle or the controller.
- My unit is
under warranty and it won't start, what should I do?
If you still have problems, contact us and we'll put you in touch
with the factory service personnel.
- What do I do
if I need parts?
This is one of our biggest target areas for complete customer satisfaction
and the biggest complaint from people who buy any old scooter from
overseas. The factory stocks everything you could ever need for
your cooler, all the time to the best of their abilities.
- What do I do if I wrecked
my cooler and it needs service?
Like any mechanical device, especially one you ride on, accidents
occur, most of the time your Riding Cooler will probably be just
fine. If however you damage your cooler beyond normal repair you
can ship it to our service center. We will call or email you a quote
to repair or replace your cooler.

- How much weight can
my cooler really take?
The factories have load tested to 540. We recommend a maximum of
300 lbs. We have had guys weighing around 325 lbs drive the cooler
routinely without incident or overly burdening the coolers. The
300 watt model is recommend for loads not to exceed 200 lbs. Our
coolers have steel frames inserted into the body to help support
heavier loads. Under any weight loads over 200 lbs, you will void
your warranty. The facotry may change the weight recommendatuions.
- Where
are the Riding Coolers made?
They are made at several factories in China. Most of the components
were already made there and this was the only way to get the costs
of production down to make them feasible for sales in the US markets.
- What
else is coming from Riding Coolers?
Lots of cool stuff, new bigger coolers, new accessories, new trailers,
4 wheel drive units, marine coolers, decals. There are so many new
products in development you will be amazed. Keep checking the web
site.
- Can I customize my cooler?
While modifying your cooler in any way will void the warranty, you
can customize your cooler as much as you want. We've heard of people
changing the engines, the gear rations, adding stereos, alarms,
chopper kits, etc...--even modifying the body to resemble something
else. Feel free to send us pictures and we may add them to the website.
- Can I get a custom colored
cooler?
Yes, we can get custom colors, but that would require a minimum
of at least several hundred coolers in the order. Please talk to
us if you are interested in this option. In the meantime, we'd suggest
a can of spray paint.
- What are some uses that
people have for the coolers?
People use the coolers for Tailgating, Parades (with a custom decal,
you can advertise your business and perhaps get a tax break--talk
to your accountant), festivals, fund raisers, sporting events, campgrounds,
horse shows, car shows, at the cabin, at the lake, by the beach,
at marinas, riding around the neighborhood, or out in the "back
40". There are thousands of uses for our Riding Coolers. Use
your imagination and HAVE FUN!
- Can you do a "wheelie"
on the ATC or the other coolers?
We are going to say no--no wheelies. For liability purposes, we
refer to the back bar as a "Bumper". What you do with
the cooler after you buy it, and how you use it, we have no control
of, and take no responsibility for.
